a grep for SPARK_MASTER_IP shows that sbin/start-master.sh and sbin/start-slaves.sh are the only ones that use it.
yet for example in CDH5 the spark-master is started from /etc/init.d/spark-master by running bin/spark-class. does that means SPARK_MASTER_IP is simply ignored? it looks like that to me. it is supposed to?
