Thanks, Jerome. BTW, have you tried the CalliopeServer2 from tuplejump? I was able to quickly connect from beeline/Squirrel to my Cassandra cluster using CalliopeServer2, which extends Spark SQL Thrift Server. It was very straight forward.
Next step is to connect from Tableau, but I can't find Tableau's Spark connector. Where did you download it from?
