Hi Folks, I am trying to connect from SparkShell to PostGIS Database. Simply PostGIS is a *spatial *extension for Postgresql, in order to support *geometry * types.
Although the JDBC connection from spark works well with Postgresql, it does not with a database on the same server, which supports the PostGIS extension. I have tried to build the JDBC driver of the PostGIS, and use it, but it throws *No suitable driver found for jdbc:postgis.* Would like to know if anyone had the same problem before reporting the bug on JIRA.
