Yes it is issue with the newer release of testthat.

To workaround could you install an earlier version with devtools? will follow 
up for a fix.

Can you check and lower testthat version?

1. installed R
2. installed packages like testthat as mentioned in doc
3. run run-tests.h


Every time I am getting this error line:

Error in get(name, envir = asNamespace(pkg), inherits = FALSE) :
  object 'run_tests' not found
Calls: ::: -> get
Execution halted
