I like the idea but currently lack the time to work on it myself - would you be able to come up with a patch given some advice from the dev list?
Unfortunately not, since I'm working on more than full time (if that's possible ;-) on a Cocoon-based project right now. It sure would be nice though.
If so, you might want to ask there.
