Hello, Thanks for your insights. I managed to find a working solution to my problem. As long as I just export the document to PDF (even with Embed OpenDocument File option checked), the document won't appear in the list of recently modified documents.
But if I check the option "View PDF after export", then apparently my PDF viewer Evince will modify the file so that it appears in the list.
