There is a modem included in your mobile phone, in any mobile phone ....

If your phone is connected to your computer then your computer is connected to the modem.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I am still a newbie to Kannel as this is my first time. Why are you talking about a Modem. I have not attached any modem to my  Kannel box. I only have attached a mobile phone by using its usb cable.

I do not understand a lot in regarding to Kannel.

I have set log-vel to 0.

here are my logs.

Can you capture your log results? Especially the bearerbox, and please set it to debug level (0). As my experience maybe your USB doesn't speak to your modem well.

Subject: USB Mobile phone + Kannel -- Help

Hi,

I attached a mobile phone (its name  I-MATE SMART PHONE) to a box running CentOS 5 by using a usb cable which came with that phone.

I installed Kannel RPM. Pls see below for installed RPMs.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# rpm -qa |grep kannel
kannel-1.4.1-2.rf
kannel-debuginfo-1.4.1-2.rf
kannel-devel-1.4.1-2.rf

Now, it shows /dev/ttyUSB0

Here is my /etc/kannel.conf file

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# cat /etc/kannel.conf
#
# THIS IS A SAMPLE CONFIGURATION FOR SMS KANNEL
#
# It is run like this:
#
#  1% gw/bearerbox gw/smskannel.conf
#  2% gw/smsbox gw/smskannel.conf
#  3% test/fakesmsc -p 10000 -H localhost -i 1 -m 100 "123 345 text nop"
#
# ..all 3 commands in separate shells (or screen sessions)
#
# For any modifications to this file, see Kannel User Guide
# If that does not help, send email to users@kannel.org
#

Now, I want to send a sms to my friends. How can I do that?

It has a web interface called sendsms.php. I copied it to /var/www/cgi-bin. Then I accessed as below.

http://localhost/cgi-bin/sendsms.php

I got the interface. So I entered my mobile number and a text message. Then , I clicked submit button. But, It went black. No responce.  How can I solve this issue?
