And set swappiness to something low, like 1. There's almost no reason to allow anything to spill into the swap file with 512GB of RAM. In fact, my daily driver has 64GB of RAM, and I set the swap file size to 4 GB and set swappiness to 1. The 4 GB swap is there for emergencies, but I don't think it's ever been needed.
