[videoblogging] how? ( Edit canon Powershot SD200 footage in Final Cut 5?)

Hey guys I have a cannon Powershot SD200. I am looooking to edit the footage in final cut 
5 editor. I do NOT want to edit in Imovie. 

I Need to know what settings and setup I need to make the footage work and not have to
