I've been using the Rode Video Mic on my Canon HV20 for a few weeks now and I really like it. Yesterday it dawned on me that because it supplies it's own power (via 9v battery) and has a 1/8" mini plug I could probably use it as a computer mic too. So I plugged it into my MacBook Pro and found it works great for recording a voice over or a screencast. Thought that was a cool tip.
