I'll try to explain the Binary jumpers (I'll probably make it worse):
The jumpers are simple switches, take it off is "off" or "0", on is "1". If you
have 3 jumpers, you count them from left to right. For instance, if they On,
Off, On, that is 1 0 1. Now, starting fromm the right, start adding the value
of each column up. the first column on the right is the "ones" column, and
there is a 1 in it, so that is "1". The second column is the "2" column, and
there is a zero, so no adding that one. The third column is the 4 column and
there is a one, so add 4 to the 1 in the first column, for a total of 5. So 1 0
1 is really 5.

If we cannot afford to take care of our veterans, then we should stop making
them.

A CD drive, or a Floppy drive? The Quadra or Centris 610 should have both.
Are the original disks on floppy, or CD? The SCSI id is set on the hard drive
itself, usually by jumpers on the back or bottom. It's in binary, and I have
always found it confuzing... No jumpers on it means ID 0. If your 610 still has
the factory settings, the HD in it should be set to ID 0.

Do you have an OS Disk/Floppy with disk tools, try verifying and repairing
the HDD, If this don't work you may need to re-install the OS via re-formatting
the HDD. If you are in need of another HDD, I have a 250Mb SCSI HDD i'm not
using. I also have a centris 610 on my web site www.wizardtechs.com.
