Thank you, @WolfgangFahl, this is a great point! I did an [investigation](T295560 <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T295560>), but, unfortunately, solving this is not as straight forward as I originally hoped. So while, at least for now, we cannot invest many development resources on this, changing the error message is definitely something that we could do. What should the message be? I guess, ideally, there would be some information on wiki that we could point to?
