In each msi use the MajorUpgrade element and increment the first three sections of the MSI version (i.e 1.0.0.0 to 1.0.1.0, and not 1.0.0.1)
When building the second release of the bootstrapper, leave all of the MSIs in the first release in the chain and only change the MSI B if that is what is changing. Burn will update only what has changed, but the unchanged MSI A must be there to avoid uninstalling it. -- View this message in context: http://windows-installer-xml-wix-toolset.687559.n2.nabble.com/How-Wix-bootstrapper-uninstall-msi-package-that-has-been-upgraded-tp7600359p7600369.html Sent from the wix-users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ One dashboard for servers and applications across Physical-Virtual-Cloud Widest out-of-the-box monitoring support with 50+ applications Performance metrics, stats and reports that give you Actionable Insights Deep dive visibility with transaction tracing using APM Insight. http://ad.doubleclick.net/ddm/clk/290420510;117567292;y _______________________________________________ WiX-users mailing list WiX-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wix-users
