It does not even show the table to put in the ftp. When I click the auto
update on a plugin or to update WP it gives me that error.

Looks like $stored_credentials is a string. It should be an array.
I'm not sure how it's becoming a string. Can you delete the
'ftp_credentials' option from your options table and try again?
