Richard has been building synths for many years now and is also developing software applications... Where did you get your information about the phony stuff? I agree that all the artists are good musicians, but that was not the thread or my point.

Hopefully you are kidding about the aphex twin. An Akai S3000, a Roland
R8, an Oberheim matrix 1000, and a Korg MS20 were his main squeezes. Now
he obviously is under the influence of Macintosh. All of his shit about
making and modifying his own gear were just fibs to sell records. He
sounded unique and awesome with the same stuff everyone else was using.

Mills and James aren't rocket scientists... but they are skilled
musicians. funny though.. I make tracks and actually might be a rocket
scientist someday. :|
