Studio 1 was done by Wolfgang Voigt aka Mike Ink. Thomas Brinkman's variations came from a special turntable he made from the idea of an older model with various tone arms. His table had two arms, one for each channel (left and right). Both arms were placed on the track thus giving that distintive sound of the variation series (studio 1 and concept series). Brinkman has just finished another series that involved various women's names from A-Z on the Maxx-Earnst label. He started one with male names but I believe there has only been two releases of that series so far. Another name he records under is Soul Center, very good recordings, very German with a destintive Brinkman sound that makes it a little more "funkier" than your run of the mill dry German house or techno. Hope this was helpful.
