Detroit has so much history, coming from Toronto I was unaware of the history and soul of Detroit until I started hearing the early techno coming out via D.May. Of course I had heard the Motown stuff but was too young to clue in to the story behind it.

I am marvelled by the difference in life within such close proximity of my home and to Canada.

Detroit has alot to be proud of.

i'm not sure about the old motown studio, but there are a few of the old recording studios on second between i-94 and grand boulevard that may still be open. there is also a motown museum located on grand boulevard west of woodward that is open at very obscure times, but worth looking in to.

btw...(to all detroiters) isn't it so cool that there are people coming to detroit that want to do tourist type things?

Hey all;

I just wanted to know if the Old Motown studio building is still standing in
D.

and if so where is it located?

I'm from Toronto Canada and have only been to Detroit a couple of times but
like many of you will be there once again in May and this site is #1 on my
tourist list of things to do and see.

Thanks people
