That's a shame to hear about dance tracks, I was just there over the Thanksgiving Holiday and noticed that bins were a bit sparse than previous years. Dance tracks was one of few stores in NYC that still supported domestic techno, even if they didn't order a ton of copies, they still stocked labels like us (technoir audio) and I always appreciated that fact.
My last two purchases at Dance tracks were the Brennan Green - Escape from Chinatown (Daniel Wang Remix) and Tony Allen - Killmode (Carl Craig Remix) Its sad to realize that I'm running out of shops to dig in, each time I return home to the NYC metro area. jw On Nov 28, 2007 9:55 AM, Michael Kuszynski <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > wow. that sucks. dance tracks held a pretty cool stock of records and > always played good stuff over the system. a bit house centered but i > always want more techno. seems like people crossing into other cross > product platforms like selling audio gear and software a la satellite > are able to still do well (i hope). > > On 11/28/07, Big 50 Entertainment <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Even more gloom, DanceTracks in NY is closing Friday... > > Anyone have news about Lexington/Manhattan? > > > > MG > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Simon Swain [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Sent: Monday, November 26, 2007 4:55 PM > > To: 313@hyperreal.org > > Subject: (313) Cisco's Demise > > > > Word on the street from Tokyo: > > > > "I know... it"s not good.. well, Cisco in Osaka is closing down, but > > they are combining all the stores in Tokyo into 1 store.
