Subject: Re: [AI] Query regarding Braille ATM Card of Union Bank of India

Dear friends

Features of Union Sparsh card:

• The Union Sparsh debit card is identified by the raised letter
“U” embossed in Braille. The U stands for “Union Bank of India”. The Braille
marking on the card makes it easy to recognize the card and differentiate it
from other banks cards. It also helps to know the face of the card.

• A rounded notch to the opposite edge of the chip is another key
tactile feature added in the card design. This serves as a guide for the
direction in which to insert the card and to recognize that this is a Debit
Card type for the blind card users to use the card in the right direction at
ATMs and payment terminals.

• Card also has a UV printing effect with raised texture for the
large size of the bank logo and contactless symbol just next to card chip on
the face of the card.

• This RuPay EMV Platinum card variant has other key features such
as contactless, international card, rewards points, insurance cover and lounge
access.

• Union Bank of India has designed accessible card that is easy to
use and visually appealing for low vision persons as well. This includes
features such as clear card holder name, bold fonts, and bright colors to make
the card easy to read and use.

• One of the first significant step by the bank is accessible
content in for form of Braille literature is part of Sparsh debit card welcome
dispatch kit every Sparsh card holder receives.

Hi

The Braille marking ATM card is just the same as any ATM card with the
same privileges. It has a Braille of letter U for Union bank. It helps
us identify the card.
