Hi raj, In such a situation we can open the excel file on excel app instead of opening it on browser. This will still be online with the convenience of working on the desktop application.
By right click on the the file we wish to open, we can find the "open in app" option in the open menu when in one drive. Else, when the file is already open pressing "Alt.f" will help us access the file menu. Next "open in app" option can be accessed in the "info" sub menu. I hope this helps..
