Dear All, St. Xavier’s College, XRCVC-Viviana extension is happy to announce an online workshop on the theme “*Using* *Amazon.IN with NVDA*” under its Tech Roshni series – A step at bridging the digital divide for blind and low vision persons. This Workshop is supported by the *Dhun Pestonji Parakh Discretionary Trust*.
With today’s lifestyle changes, more customers from traditional shopping methods like exploring online shopping. Platforms like Amazon have made it easy for people to shop from their homes by offering a wide range of products at their fingertips with detailed information, or shopping at any time and home delivery. For visually impaired individuals, traditional shopping has its challenges, but online shopping platforms offer an opportunity to access and explore more products, contributing to their independent living. New users might need a bit of guidance to understand what online shopping platforms are and how to use them. In this session we will explore the Amazon.IN website, its accessibility using NVDA screen reader user to help to gain more knowledge. *Eligibility*: a. Persons with print disabilities such as blindness and low vision. b. Participants should have a good knowledge of screen reader, cursor movements, Keyboard, and internet browsing.
