Dear Group Members, We are researching how AI-generated summaries can be more accessible for visually impaired users and individuals with disabilities.
Existing summarization research rarely prioritizes accessibility-focused evaluations. There is a lack of a dedicated evaluation framework for assessing accessibility, including readability, length, coherence, and inclusivity for diverse user needs. To address this gap, we have developed an *evaluation framework* to systematically assess the accessibility of AI-generated summaries. We have also designed a *summarization model* that generates optimized summaries for web content using four different large language models. Our model ranks and improves summaries based on readability, coherence, and inclusivity. We need your feedback!
