Rajesh, In Bharat's case both ar Blind and therefore the Bank is acting tough but last year I had a case of a sighted father wanting to open a joint account with his blind daughter. Her name would be first and his second. the Bank told him after the RBI circular that he might cheat his daughter and therefore they would not allow a joint account.
What kind of logic was that? none of this makes sense still we live and watch this nonsense. so my dear you can scream but I can only keep listening to these stories and dealing with them one by one. For every rule I can help get passed some ingenious officer will find something more to say. Bharat dont get frustrated this is the beginning of the tamasha. You will get your account I promise you. Indian sovereign socialist democratic secular republic!!!!! The height of formalism!!!!!! With all due regard to civility and group norms and my own legal literary, psychological and banking training, I cannot refrain myself from declaring that the proper remedy for such absurd persons is to give a hard slap in their face, literally. Otherwise, issue circulars and GRs for every step in life, and go to courts to have them implemented. Maybe, some wise and patient person could come to your aid and convince the officials or talk to different and higher officials, but hieronimo is mad again!!!! I.E. a blind couple cannot open a joint bank account, as the same is not mandated & permissible in case of a blind couple. would really appreciate your guidance in this regard. it would be really helpful if you can point me to a circular about the same.
