Yes. Details below ... > I found out about your game at the FreeGameDev Forum and it sounds very > interesting. But I just started to learn C++ so I can't help with this. I wouldn't necessarily say that. Sure, you'll need to know the syntax by heart, know your way around pointers and references, inheritance and a couple other concepts too, but: in reality, Adonthell isn't using a lot of the more advanced features of C++. No exceptions, hardly any templates, just basic stuff from the STL. The real complexity lies in the amount of code, the external libraries used and a few constructs that are indeed "advanced" programming. > But maybe you need a guy who can translate the game. The thing that would need translation right now is the Waste's Edge demo game. At http://translationproject.org/domain/wastesedge.html you will find the wastesedge-0.3.5.pot file, which contains all the strings that need to be translated. If you are not familiar with GNU gettext let me know and I can give you a rundown how the translation process works. What OS are you using, btw? I also have to ask on behalf of the translation project if you would like to join the German translation team http://translationproject.org/team/de.html It's not mandatory, of course, but it would mean that there are people that could cross-check the translation and it would become available on the translation project website. They can probably also help with the translation process/useful tools etc. much better then I could. But as I said, it's totally up to you. We'll happily take any translations we can get :-). Let me know if there are any questions.
