These guys have 3X the efficiency of my leaf, so that is good. Even if you could get 100 square feet of panel on a car, that is 1000 watts if oriented perfectly. So a bit more than 1 HP for actually driving on it. They say they have a 100 kWh battery. OK 100 hours of sunlight to charge. But they probably only have half that much charging capacity. But still, if you have sunny climate, very short commute and you don’t mind riding in a bathtub it would be fun to have.
