User rainerbielefeld changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ CC|'' |'rainerbielefeld' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keywords| |needmoreinfo, oooqa -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Nov 10 23:22:32 -0800 2005 ------- Currently I am not sure whether I really understand what the problem is. We have to separate 2 possible problems. 1. OOo does not support relative hyperlinks Using “2.0 German version WIN XP: [680m3(Build8968)]” I can not confirm that as a general problem. Of course we have several problems that OOo changes relative hyperlinks to absolute ones, for example if a document as .html-document, but normally I can't see such problem, we use document systems with relative hyperlinks between the documents really excessive, and it works fine. 2. UI does not allow to enter relative paths in hyperlinks So kit is. If I have a document "Start.odt" where I want to have a hyperlink to a document "goal.odt" in a subfolder "goal", I can enter a hyperlink "goal/goal.odt", but that will not work. I must select a hyperlink by the browse function or enter a complete absolute path, both will create something like <file:///e:/Rainer/Eigene%20Dateien/TEMP/oootestfiles/48308_relativehyperlinks/goal/goal.odt>, to where the link should lead from document <file:///e:/Rainer/Eigene%20Dateien/TEMP/oootestfiles/48308_relativehyperlinks/start.odt> with the hyperlink in it. _But_ That only looks like an absolute hypelink, OOo will handle that as a relative link. So we do not have a problem with the function, but a problem with usability. 2.a OOo should accept correct relative hyperlink entries like 'goal\goal.odt' in the hyperlink document and change that entry to the internal OOo hyperlink format. 2.b OOo should show in the hyperlink dialogue whether it will handle the hyperlink as a relative one or as a absolute one, and it should be possible to select in the dialogue whether a hyperlink should be realtive or absolute. For this, we have issue 57721. @hfinger, do you agree that there is no problem with function of relative hyperlinks, but with usability? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
