Current status: the bounded simplex algorithm that I've been working on is nearing completion, but still needs some work in the initial solution search routine (a rather tough one, I might add). So, my plan is to finish that up first, then perhaps look at integrating lp_solve into the mix. I have to admit things are moving slowly these days because of my class work. But once that finishes in May I'll try to pick up speed to move it along further. @all: I haven't been keeping up to date with documenting my code since there have been nobody showing interest to help me (except for folks at Novell). But if there is any interest in giving me a helping hand, I'll be glad to put together some how-to docs for any brave soul. Right now, my solver is a part of ooo-build - the build maintained by Novell and other distro maintainers. Compiling my solver code involves compiling the whole suite because we are now in the process of integrating it into the main code base. The initial integration work has already been done. This unfortunately means that setting it up for hacking solver won't be easy but I think this step is necessary at this stage.
