------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Aug 31 14:54:23 -0700 2006 ------- The function =EXACT(LOWER("J");"j") yields FALSE, because LOWER("J") does not return a real "j", but a similar (in apperance) letter. Check out an attached testcase and a screenshot ("NETEISINGAI" means FALSE and "TEISINGAI" means TRUE in Lithuanian) for detailed analysis. My testcase is only valid when the locale is set to Lithuanian (in both Windows XP and Linux (Debian)), i.e. On Windows XP with regional settings set to Lithuanian, OOo 2.0.3 - the bug is there On Linux with LANG=lt_LT, OOo 2.0.3 - the bug is there On Linux with LANG=C, OOo 2.0.3 - the bug is not there So it seems to be a locale specific bug in LOWER() function. UPPER() does not seem to be affected. P.S. I *don't* have Lithuanian or any other language pack installed. I'm not sure where are those "NETEISINGAI" and "TEISINGAI" comming from. But it must be a translation from vanilla en_US OOo installation. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
