The help for the option "Merge adjacent line styles" says "Merges two different
border styles of adjacent cells in a Writer table into one border style." So it
makes no sense to display this option for a frame within OOo writer. Or the
documentation needs to be updated.
Switching this option on and off for a frame using different lines and colors
for the borders had no effect.
