------- Additional comments from jes...@openoffice.org Sat Dec 19 04:37:37 +0000 2009 ------- I have a spreadsheet which contains multiple sheets that I want to embed into a Writer document. Supposing that the spreadsheet is saved to a location on the disk, to embed each sheet I do the following: 1. Place the cursor at the location where I want the spreadsheet inserted. 2. Select from the menu: Insert > Object > OLE Object... 3. In the resultant dialog, select "Create from file" and navigate to the location on disk of the file. I select the "Link to file" checkbox. I do this at least twice, both times referencing the same file. In each spreadsheet control, I select a different sheet and I resize the control to fit the data. To do this, I do the following: 1. Double-click on the embedded sheet to enter into the spreadsheet editor. 2. Grab the handles of the spreadsheet editor control and resize it so that columns of empty/undesired data is hidden. 3. Click outside of the control. In the document that I have a problem with, I have six sheets from the same document, embedded this way. Each embedded instance is resized so that it fits exactly the range of cells I want to show. To reproduce the issue, I do the following: 1. Save the document and close Writer. 2. Reopen the document in Writer. 3. Select "Yes" to the question "Update all links." Now, all the embedded spreadsheets will have incorrect formatting. Some issues include: 1. Columns which were hidden are now showing. 2. Whereas the control fitted the data perfectly before, the spreadsheet now appears "squashed" and improperly scaled. 3. Some embedded spreadsheets are showing data from a sheet other than the one which it was set to. This issue does not occur if I answer "No" to the "Update all links" dialog. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
