------- Additional comments from rk...@openoffice.org Fri Jan 29 13:34:43 +0000 2010 ------- A defect occurs when using Writer in OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 on a Macintosh "MacBook Pro" running 10.6.2. The defect results in the need to "Force Quit..." the OpenOffice.org application. The steps required to produce the error follows: (1) Open OpenOffice.org (2) Create a new document or edit an existing document in Writer. (3) Enter and/or select some text within the document. (4) Select Insert -> Hyperlink (5) By default the selected text appears within the "Text" field of the Hypertext window. (6) Enter a Web address within the "Target" field of the Hypertext window. (7) Type in the desired text within the "Text" field. Note that on occasion the previously selected Text in the "Text" field is erased, and the text also disappears from the document. (8) Click on the "Apply" button. (9) On occasion the OpenOffice.org application hangs (Mac OS X 10.6.2 indicates that the application is not responding). (10) Force quit the OpenOffice.org application. (11) Mac OS X requests that a an "error report" be submitted to Apple.com (12) Submit the "error report."
