Reproduction: - insert formula field, insert some simple formula - On the property browser switch to the "Data" Tab - Click on the "..." button behind "Data Field" -> Crash The problem was found using vanilla OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 m18 x64_64 en_US on Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.5 x86_64.
