This seems to happen only on linux platforms (x86-64, kernel 2.6.31.14, OpenSuSE 11.2) and only with OOo 3.3rc6 (vanilla, x86-64): with OOo 3.2.1 all seems to go well. The same behavior (freezes) on LibreOffice 3.3b3, x86-64, OpenSuSE build. We have also tested it with OOo 3.3rc6 (vanilla, win32) on Windows Vista Home Premium ita 32 bit and all seems to go well too.
