The usual performance considerations, which apply to every pre-queue
content filter - see README_FILES/CONTENT_INSPECTION_README in Postfix
documentation. In particular, the number of incoming smtp sessions is
at least an order of magnitude larger than what would be needed
for a post-queue content filter, which brings serious limitations
to any site larger than a home or small office size.

Furthermore, amavisd-new is not exactly a TRANSPARENT proxy.
It comes close at times, may work most of the time, but there
are no guarantees. Such a setup is not supported officially.
