No more so than should we have to have permission to transmit on a satellite.
That being said, I have noticed over the years that a lot of childish stuff has been said on the AMSAT-BB which may have impacted the participation of volunteers, contribution of donations or professional offers of assistance (launch opportunities). You really never know who is reading, and you may scare off potential membership or contribution. Please think before hitting send. Unlike the PTT button, you have still a chance NOT to "say whats on your mind".
