Utsav, We dont think that creating an ability to add, edit, and display 3D geometries is likely to be successful in the timeframe of the GSoC. To help you zero in to what our idea is really about, look at the "Multipart Geometries (2D)" table shown on this wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Well-known_text. This nicely describes the types of "complex" geometries that we are interested in supporting.
