There is indeed a moderator... it used to be me for a while. Besides outright banning a subscriber from making posts, the moderator has the ability to "moderate" individual subscribers. In this context, moderation means that when a flagged subscriber posts a message it goes into a waiting area until the moderator decides that it is OK to post. If the moderator decides that the message is not OK to post he or she can reject the message to the original poster with some sort of explanation or just delete the message as if it never happened. Messages from other members of the group are unaffected and appear on the list in real time. You can find out who the moderator of any Yahoo group is by visiting the group's home page on yahoo and clicking MEMBERS -> MODERATORS. ~joe
