I don't know about the Springwood Ave deal, but the waterfront get
held up, and could not be remedied by eminent domain, because the
development rights were under the protection of the US bankruptcy
court. Thus, a superior (federal) government interest precluded
appropriation or condemnation by lesser government interests (state
or local, respectively). One of the few problems with the US
Bankruptcy system. Nothing like it in the world. Glad you're
enjoying the tug o war. They don't call it Ozbury Park for nothing.
