I think we are not so very far apart.

No, my comments were not directed at you, but more at Skip.  I think the
issues you raised below are extremely valid and fair.   We should be
questioning the ability of the current board and other candidates to execute
what needs to get done.

While I may be the most positive about the current council on this board, there
are things that I also feel they have not done well.  Communications with the
community, for instance.  It has frustrated me as well.  And your points on
experience levels are well made.

My comments were more regarding Skip's desire to bash unrealistically, as if
the council walked into this fantastic situation and everything positive that has
happened since was inevitable and they played no role while everything
negative that has occurred was completely the fault of their incompetence.  If
life was only that simple.  Only in Star Wars is the concept of good and evil as
clearly defined as it is within his postings.

They've done some things well.  They've made some mistakes.  The town has
made tremendous strides while they have been on the council.  I am very
open to any candidates who are looking to take the progress that has been
made and build even greater momentum. - who will work with Asbury
Partners in a positive fashion as partners, but make sure they hold up their
end and the city does the same.   Dont' get me wrong - I think they should
deliver on their promises and meet their commitments, but at this point we are
either going to win together or lose together.

So while we need a firm (and firmer) hand with Asbury Partners, those
candidates who are looking to become totally adversarial with Asbury
Partners, who want to do nothing but bash the progress that has been made
will certainly not get my vote.  Because where we are is simply too fragile at
this point.  And I for one don't want to go backward.   To much has been
accompished - and there remains far too much to do.
