Catching up on the forum. Had a crowd down to AP this weekend. They
had to listen to my bitching about Fishman et al. You've said it
all. There were crowds on the bw which was good to see and plenty of
people were walking through the casino, even as early as 7 AM all
weekend. I noticed the city loosened the regs on the bw and at least
for this weekend, allowed bikes and dogs on the bw. I guess that's
good for now at least for the bike rental place. They alos allowed
people on on beach without badges at the beaches without lifeguards.
When I asked Danny (4th Ave gate) about the bikes and dogs (and how
come he didn;t chase me and my dog at 7 AM) he said there is a new
sheriff in town and his name is "I don't give a f$ck." He repeated
it again just in case I didn;t hear him.

I was so lazy that I drove and parked three days in a row in front
of hojo's. I would like to give credit where credit is due, but
we're all correct; this is not how you do things. Walking there on
the Ocean Ave side you trip over the temporary fencing. For a moment
I thought I was at an Israeli beachfront resort that had sporadic
homicide bombings in the past few days. What we see now we should
have seen the first season after the MOU and the approval of the
deal. We had to wait 3 years for this? There would be plenty of
approbations if this was 3 years ago, but it is not. It is
unacceptable. We should see the nearing of the permanent pavillions
by this time (I know Skip, this probably is permanent as long as we
have Fishman).

As for the casino. Great minds think alike. I had to stop myself
from staging an accident just to bankrupt Asbury Partners. As I said
to my guests, this development is so easy that my kids to do it and
succeed. Unless our city council acts we will see the same snail's
pace and half-assed performance. Hopefully, it will eventually get
done. Those who tried to quiet us critics will say "I told you so."
They're wrong. The pavillions should be done, or substantially done
by now. As it now stands, we don't even have a plan or schedule. At
least not one that has been made public. Anyone notice that there
are benches on only half of the bw? The bw, while better than it
was, looks like a bunch of teenagers are doing it. I saw a kid
selling homemade lemonade on the bw, I was wondering if he was going
to be arrested for violating Fishman's vendor rights. Maybe he was a
relative.
