Seems like they go into office, just making it and come out rich and act like
the fat cats they become! I don't know if any of the current office holders are
on the take and I'm not accusing, but they are very arrogant at times, speak to
their constituents worse than the group they replaced and have low regard for
the people they are supposed to represent. Some have a "what do they know" and
are very dismissive when put on the spot. I have high respect for elected
officials, who if they don't have an answer, will get your name and contact
info and GET bACK to you! We're owed a reasonable explaination of what is going
on in our town. I got involved with a group of persons, a mixed group racially,
that I thought were going to "fix" Asbury Park. Filled with good intentions
they screwed everybody royally, well almost all! The "Homeowners" Group did a
so-called put together report, which I have seen, and I'm sure they meant well,
from a bunch of sore losers in the 96 election and they destroyed the
reputations, of some folks who were trying to make a difference. My opinion, so
please don't lambast me for voicing what I think is a really naive approach to
this game called "politics"! It opened my eyes to not trust ANYONE here!
They're ALL alike, some likable and some NOT, if they think you're A'gin em' as
Bush would say. I really have a lot to learn, so I reached out to these people
and they're not a "bad" bunch, in the true sense of the word, but they're just
as vulnerable as the bunch they ousted! When you support a known crook, I start
thinking that they too are IN with that person. When you question why a person
is being paid too much, I wonder, is it his race or ability? No one questions
why white men are paid. Is this "white" entitlement at work? Is one Black man
too much diversity? I'm getting to know them and they ARE likable. They are
"trying" to keep it real and I'm willing to forgive SOME, of what they've done
to people, who were really "green". I didn't realize what money could do! It's
a powerful tool to get the result you want! I am not a legal preson, but I've
had 2 courses in Business Law, so it doesn't make me a legal expert. I am just
a regular working stiff, who can't get a job in the city, but the Corporations
and think tanks will give me a job in a heart-beat! You can't even volunteer
your services, "free time", without someone thinking you have an "ulterior
motive"! People start whispering, "who is she"? Where'd she come from? Like I
can't just step up to the plate and ask, "Is there anything I can do"? Mainly,
because I don't want anything in return! No, no quid pro quo, like I see
everyone grabbing for something, or have a cause they want to jam down our
collective throats! To be continued.

Of course not! Ray Kramer was the mayor, remember. Wasn't Kramer a

Name a crime Ray Kramer committed....what a ridiculous and insulting
question. Just as insulting as saying there was no govt mandated
beach for blacks. It may not have been mandated by lawyers, but it was
mandated by society.
