Dave:  I'm not going to be so presumptuous as to say that you are 
wrong.  All I'm saying is that in the thousands of photos and 
postcards I've seen, I'm surprised I've never caught a glimpse of 
the signs you are talking about.

Remember too that Asbury Avenue is the beach Asbury Blacks flocked 
to in the 1800.  They were not segregated there. It is the beach 
they enjoyed.

Now there are postings here that racism is a problem in Asbury Park 
today.  Of course, no one can cite any examples.  This victimology 
at its worst.

Maybe its because my roots are on the west side, my mother still 
lives in the house I grew up in.  I'm there often. I just don't see 
the racism. I feel terrible that poeple are disparaging Asbury Park 
like this.  It's BS and don't ever expect me to stand for it. This 
is the least racist town I've been to.
