as far as those little mom & pops - a couple in Ocean Township will be demolished within the next 2 years - if not all of them. They are sold. Another One was burned out for a few years, the other has a $3m+/- price tag. Another problem with these is they become a homeless shelter or for that matter, a psuedo "home"- even though most towns have ordinances regarding the length of stay. Easier to get a check from the county to house people.
