"To succeed Asbury will have to reach a critical mass of residents and day-trippers, seeking out something not found in adjacent towns; howwe get there without adequate parking, regular hours and an overallmessage that Asbury Park is more than "coming soon to a neighborhoodnear you" is the question."

thats not true.  the people that work and shop in red bank dont live there.  do you think how many residents populate red bank, has any factors on how many people go there to shop, or work?  red bank has all the parking problems, they do fine.  they complain, the officals complain, but it hasnt slowed down anyone from going there.  parking is not an issue in asbury park (if you still think its a problem, then its been a problem for the last 40 years, minus the last 20)
