Tom, you are right only if you are talking about acquiring land for 
open space. What is at issue here is city owned property that is 
sold/given away instead of kept for open space. It costs nothing to 
keep it. This city tried to meet its operating costs by selling its 
assets. Eventually, there is nothing left to sell. Sort of like 
being caught in an avalanche; you eat your belt, then your shoes, 
etc. Ultimately you start cannibalizing yourself and starve if you 
don't find a new source of food. This city should start tightening 
its belt. Over the past several council meetings there have been 
approvals of invoices in several instances of office funiture 
running it the thousands of dollars. People getting $600+ chairs. My 
office chair costs more, but I am paying for it, no one else.

As for Werner, I didn't see him call anyone here stupid or ignorant.
