>From the past few days' postings, I see that the last shooting and crime in Asbury Park in general are being taken seriously by those vocal members on the list.
So, how many of you are going to stop complaining and get involved. Everyone - residents, weekenders, investors, and local politicians - can be a part of Citizens On Patrol (COP). Also, every homeowner and renter can go to Radio Shack and install cheap video camera pointed on the street that record onto videotape or a computer hard drive that can be made available to the police. So, how about stop arguing about where a police substation should be and get involved? This is the biggest problem in the city right now. Unless corrected, Asbury will not have to worry about what goes where or how much this property is going for. The drugs, crime etc is the problem. This is where the effort should be first. --------------------------------- New Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. Call regular phones from your PC and save big. More buy and bust oeprations. Cameras on the streets. Time to clean sweep, street by street. Do what they did elsewhere. Knock'em down and rebuild with less density. Build new affordable housing. With all those millions poured into the schools. Pay each family whose kid is going into highschool $80k (20k x 4) to find them a new school. you can pay the families rent and education expenses. ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 4 Date: Mon, 27 Mar 2006 17:47:20 EST From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: The Electric News - Brown the Host Live Web Casts Wednesday evenings 8 PM _www.electricnews.com_ (http://www.electricnews.com) Protecting Private Property (The PPP) A Grassroots Citizens Group NO EMINENT DOMAIN FOR PRIVATE GAIN 732.222.6224 - 732.822.7161 _www.protectingprivateproperty.com_ (http://www.protectingprivateproperty.com/) Moratorium Now! At the end of his testimony, Republican Senator Nancy Jacobs said: "Mr. Raskin, my Bible says marriage is only between a man and a woman. What do you have to say about that?" Raskin replied: "Senator, when you took your oath of office, you placed your hand on the Bible and swore to uphold the Constitution. You did not place your hand on the Constitution and swear to uphold the Bible." The room erupted into applause.
