To put a new roof (no structural work) of a typical large victorian house in AP ranges from about $16k-$20K. That's regular materials, nothing special. The Casino is a much larger roof and although it has a steel structure, I am sure some of that needs fixing. Add to the fact that it is a protected historical structure of which any renovations must be done to state preservation standards, I find the the cost somewhat light. People put in kitchens for more than that amount. So if the cost is actually more, what's the beef you may ask?Well, it is that that cost is what the escrow is based upon. See, there's a method to Fishman's madness. Even if he has to go through with the work at a higher cost, we are only holding money in advance at a lower cost. If he walks, we haven't held enough.
