That's > the question I wonder. > Asbury Partners' modus operandi can be summed up by an interchange at the council meeting the other night. Maureen complained at the mic that a lot owned by Partners was open with children playing in it. Concrete blocks used for the infrastructure are stored there and piled up. Maureen said it was an accident waiting to happen. The council was alarmed. Larry remarked that he lets the residents of the neighboring apartment building park there and if he fences it in, someone else will complain. By that time I moved to a seat on the side right behind Larry. I yelled out the obvious and simple solution - MOVE THE BLOCKS. Bruno laughed and agreed. Larry angrily turned around to me and said they are need for the infrastructure, so I said, then secure them. He says they are secure. Yeah right. Minimum effort in maximum dollars out. Construction materials for the infrastructure have been left all over town on corners and open lots. I am surprised no one has taken them. Can anyone use culverts? I just can't wait to see what kind of job they do on the waterfront buildings. Werner wants them to take the Casino completely apart and put back together. All the kings horses and all the king's men .... I understand and agree with Werner, but with these bunch of clowns? We might get some more cartoons.
BTW Werner, you're new theme song is going to be "Don't Fence Me In." You are never going to win that rights-of-way argument as long as most people already have fences in the ROW, including the city manager. Let us fence the row with guidelines set on what you can use. I don't want people on my porch. ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Home is just a click away.
