Yes it is sad, I miss Tilly. And I also saw Coney Island go much the same way as Asbury. It's amazing how a once vibrant and economically thriving area can got so completely downhill.
America is a young country, and I have seen so many landmarks sacrificed in the name of progress. We sometimes forget to pay homage to the past. When If you go overseas to Europe, it's not uncommon to see what's left of a building still in place, with roads built around it in an attempt to preserve history. Not so here.
