I bought a house in Asbury, just so my son could get to know the place. There is nothing like snow along the ocean in the wintertime.   You could say that NYC isn't a safe place either,  but you just have to know where not to go. There are very few places left in the world that are as safe as they were 30 years ago. When I was young, I could pretty much go anywhere at all hours of the night, even hitchhike across country, and I was a girl. Those days are gone everywhere.
